15 questions and answers about botox

1. How does it work?
Dynamic facial wrinkles, are those that are marked more before certain gestures of our face, such as frowning the forehead or the brows,. They  are produced by the movement of muscles below them. The Vistabel-botox, when injected into those muscles, blocks the electrical impulse that reaches them and weakens it. The muscles relax and the wrinkles are attenuated first and, after a variable time, between 4 and 10 days, almost disappear.

2. So the result is not immediate?

No. The result gradually appears as the days go by, which is an advantage for the patient, since no one will suddenly notice that an aesthetic treatment has been made on the face. Little by little, the appearance will improve, and one day those who usually see the patient will tell him that she/he  looks better, "more beautiful. Or more handsome, without knowing why.

3. What wrinkles can be treated with Vistabel-Botox®?

Mainly we treat the wrinkles of the forehead, the brows, and the so-called "crow's feet".

4. How long does the treatment effect last?

The full effect of botox is achieved between 4 and 8 days.. This effect lasts approximately 4 to 6 months. From there, the patient can undergo another treatment, which will surely be more durable than the first. While this depends on each person, there are patients in whom the botox effect lasts for more than five or six months.

5. Is it a reversible treatment?

Yes. The muscular block lasts for a certain time, and after 3 to 6 months, the treated muscle returns to resume its mobility and, therefore, the lines of wrinkles generated by its movement will appear.

6. Is the treatment always effective for entry?

Almost always, except in a few cases where retouching is required within the first 15  days

7. How long can I treat with Vistabel-botox ®?

The treatment can be repeated every 4, 5 or six months, according to the need of the person, without problems. There are enough studies in the medical literature that fully support this claim.

8. Is the treatment painful?

It does not cause pain. A significantly low amount of fluid is applied by extremely fine needles under the skin, into the corresponding muscle, and the patient may feel a slight discomfort at the moment, as a mild stinging. There is no pain .

9. How long does it takes to perform a treatment?

It takes about five to ten minutes.

10. Should I rest after treatment?

No. You can return immediately to the usual tasks, work, social gatherings, etc. Some patients go to treatment at mealtime, and then have enough time to eat before returning to work.

11. What care should I take with my face after the Vistabel application?

Only a few cares mus be observed: you should not rub your face when washing it, but simply throw water on it. The patient should not lie down or rub his eyes or forehead (depending on the area being treated) precisely to prevent the injected drug from spreading to undesired areas. These precautions must be taken within 4 hours of application.

12. What preparation is required before treatment?

You can eat, drive, before and after treatment. You should not just take aspirins or other pain medications from a week before. In the previous consultation, the doctor will give the indications in each case.

13. What prevents me from being treated with Vistabel-Botox ®?
